300 feet north of the intersection with
Little Mountain Rd. Please note that
when you leave at the end of the day
in your vehicle, you will be exiting the reservoir property onto Ogle Road in Old Tappan.)

Bring your family & friends and spend a beautiful day by the reservoir, or come alone and find peaceful solitude on the water.

We are proud to announce the second annual Hackensack River Paddle, a Waterkeeper Alliance SPLASH Event to benefit Hackensack Riverkeeper. The paddle will consist of a point-to-point trip encompassing a five mile stretch of the river starting from Laurel Hill County Park to Mill Creek Point Park in Secaucus. We encourage you to use your own boat or alternatively use one of ours for this event [limited availability of Riverkeeper provided canoes and kayaks].

September 8th, 2012 (rain date September 9th)

Meet at Mill Creek County Park in Secaucus at 8AM for registration. After registering, you will be shuttled to the starting point at Laurel Hill County Park. End Point is Mill Creek Point Park in Secaucus, NJ

Fundraising:
Paddlers are encouraged to raise funds for Hackensack Riverkeeper through their paddle. After you register for the event, you will be given tools and information to help you ask your friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor your participation. You can register using the link above

Waterkeeper Alliance SPLASH Event Series,
presented nationally by Toyota in partnership with national founding sponsor, Keen.

- You must be 18 or older to paddle one of Hackensack Riverkeeper's canoes or kayaks. Two adult paddles required per canoe. The 2nd paddler in a tandem kayak may be 15 or older. Individuals under 18 MAY paddle in their own (non Hackensack Riverkeeper) canoe or kayak as long as they are accompanied on the water by an adult.
- Paddles, PFD's and whistles will be provided with rentals. Anyone in their own boat must provide their own paddle, PFD and whistle.
- Hackensack Riverkeeper canoes and kayaks are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee there will be boats available the day of the event, so please pre-register today by calling Hackensack Riverkeeper at 201-968-0808.
- Credit card required to secure rental/registration. Cards will not be charged until we are sure the weather is going to be okay. No refunds.
- Water will be available on site, so please bring your reusable water bottle, along with sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, binoculars, bug spray, lunch or snack (there will be no food available at this event), chairs and whatever you need to have an enjoyable day on and by the lake!
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled rental time. All paddlers must sign waiver forms upon arrival at the event.
