Hackensack Chamber Goes with the Flow

On July 31, 2003, Members of the Greater Hackensack Chamber of Commerce joined Hackensack Riverkeeper for two eco-cruises this summer. Passengers dined on a picnic dinner as they cruised up the Hackensack River from the Red Roof Inn in Secaucus to the Court Street Bridge in Hackensack. Hackensack Riverkeeper provides narrated eco-cruise charters for business and community groups from May to October. It’s not too early to book for 2004; please call Hugh Carola at 201-968-0808.

Getting To Know You: Networking on the Water

In keeping with the HRI philosophy that a healthy environment is good business, on Sept. 12, 2003, Hackensack Riverkeeper teamed up with the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce for a networking picnic at Laurel Hill Park in September. After a picnic dinner, chamber members networked while cruising with Captains Bill Sheehan and Hugh Carola and experienced first-hand the success of environmental reclamation along the Hackensack River.
