Hackensack Riverkeeper is now recruiting staff

to assist with the Canoe Project.

Canoe Livery: The canoe station in Secaucus is open 10a.m.-6p.m. on weekends April through October, as well as Wednesday through Friday in June, July and August.  We are looking for at least one person to work weekends in June, July and August (and maybe more depending on your availability) at $9.00 per hour.  HRI will provide all necessary training.  Previous canoeing experience is a plus.

 

Canoe Camp: The Canoe Camp will be in session July 14-18, July 25-27 (overnight) and August 25-29.  We are looking for one person (at least 25 years old) to work each session and assist with pre-camp work and logistics.  A $250 stipend will be provided per session and $9.00 per hour for off-session work.  Previous canoeing experience is a must and willingness to drive a passenger van is a big plus.

 

Volunteers will be needed to fill in for the above positions and to serve as support crew for special events and activities.  Regular or intermittent schedules can be granted.  Some events will pay a per diem rate.
