Programs
Hackensack Riverkeeper is a charter member of the Nature Program Cooperative, a network of environmental education organizations. NPC members provide opportunities to experience and enjoy our region’s natural side. Members of one are welcome at all. (Non-members also welcome.) Here is a list of upcoming programs: Animal Tracking and ObservationHosted by NJ Audubon Society's Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ March 11, 2007 - 12 Noon For centuries, Native Americans relied on their tracking skills for survival. Today, learning how to interpret animal tracks and signs is a fun and enjoyable activity that anyone can learn anywhere. This program begins with an indoor slide show that illustrates native NJ animals and some of the tracks and signs they leave behind. Afterwards we'll head outside to put our tracking skills to the test and look for tracks, scat, nests and more around the 14-acre Sanctuary. FREE for members of any NPC organization; $5 per nonmember. Call 201-891-2185 for more information.
