Getting Ready for 2007 World Series of Birding

Without question, the WSB is the world's premier birding event. Each year, participants from all around the globe come to New Jersey - rightly nicknamed "The Crossroads of Migration" - to count birds and raise critical funds for conservation. Here's how you can join the team and do your part without having to get up at 2:30 am like the rest of us 'Creepers: · Use the coupon below and mail a per-species pledge to our office. After the WSB, we'll multiply our species list total by the amount you pledged and send you a letter with an SASE for you to return with your tax-deductible donation. · Those who wish to can e-mail their pledges to: Hugh@HackensackRiverkeeper.org. · If you prefer to make a single amount donation you can do on our website. Just go to www.HackensackRiverkeeper.org and hit the Click&Pledge icon located at the top left corner. Then follow the easy directions - be sure to mention WSB in the comments line at the end of the checkout process. If you send a check, please be sure to list "WSB" on the memo line. Once again this year we have received a very generous WSB Matching Fund that will double every pledge and donation dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000. Because of this generosity, 50’ per bird pledges become $1 pledges, $50 donations turn into $100 donations, and so on. We know we can beat last year's $14,000 total but we need YOU to make it happen! However you choose to support the Team, you can be sure that you're doing your part to help protect, preserve and restore the wildlife habitat of the Hackensack River Watershed for now and for always. May 12, 2007 will mark the
Hackensack RiverCreepers' sixth entry in the New Jersey Audubon Society's World
Series of Birding (WSB). Yes, we've really been at it that long! On that day,
we'll take to the river, woods, marshes, fields and suburbs of our watershed to
list as many birds (and raise as much cash) as we can to support the ongoing
work of Hackensack Riverkeeper.
