2022 Youth Fishing Challenge

Hackensack Riverkeeper and the Hudson River Fishermen’s Association have teamed up once again to host a YOUTH FISHING CHALLENGE!

WHEN: Sunday, June 5, 2022

WHERE: Laurel Hill County Park’s promenade, Secaucus, NJ

This FREE event is part of the NJ Fish and Wildlife’s Hooked on Fishing – Not on Drugs program and is offered statewide to promote fishing among youth and their families.

So, join us at the Laurel Hill Park promenade.

Check-In begins at 8:30; Lines in at 9AM-12 noon. Winners circle is at 12 noon.

You must be present to collect your prizes. Prizes will be given out for a variety of categories, including but not limited to biggest fish, most fish, etc.

Novices, don’t worry, we can provide you with a rod and reel and all the necessary bait and tackle needed to land a winner. And there will be plenty of experienced fishermen around to help you.

You must register so we are sure to have enough equipment. If you registered and can no longer attend, please cancel via Eventbrite or notify our office, at (201) 968-0808, as soon as possible so we may open the space to other anglers.
